HW 31 - Exploring Methods of M,M,C,A, & Aggrandizing the Self

Part 1:
The answer I got was that everyone is doing something to meet others people expectations so you can't ever do something for ourselves, we're always doing something for others. Meeting those expectations may be cool to some people while to others is a something that they come to hate. The more truthful answer people would give is I'm doing for others as well as myself. By doing things for other people we lose and gain depending on the situation though not all people do things just because they know they will gain something in the end. We may do things because we need to do it not wanting to do it. What we do is for the world to see, to know... We always give more than we get so people stop giving and find ways to get anything. To fill a hole of emptiness too much of too little is pain. Expectations, too hard to keep up with, too hard to follow, we're just made of sins that leads to an endless path because time is endless as well...

Part 2:
During the weekends I sat in front of my computer the whole day listening to other people's love problem, I did do it for myself but whether I did it for someone else I'm not sure since they'll eventually come back to it. I did it because I didn't want them to feel that same emptiness I did back then it's not like a movie where you watch the characters suffer all alone, I don't want any of that. I don't try to push myself into other people with these problems I wait for them to open up to me so it's easier and won't make things worst. I could care less if they won't come to me or ignore me or maybe it's just me with my second thought. My parents tell me that doing things for other people is good but I should also think about myself, I think that's just selfish of me if I change to fit that. We give to get, is that how life really works, even if i give the thing that returns is pain that exist in them and passed on to another body. Feelings are endless, I was told to give up, should I? Why should we keep hurting ourselves for others? Why do we want it for ourselves?

The world is are stage even if not every person may stop to look at you, they think, they know that you exist and that is all that there is. The quotes from Shakespeare remind of the time where I asked my sister what if life was a book and the creator wrote in it everyday. We are just characters, the mains characters of our own separate book, the people we see may exist today but no tomorrow because we may never know whose dead or alive, it's a story. The creator watches over us like guardians and controls us like puppets on a string. When he gets bored he'll write a new problems to see how we will face this life, the illusion placed into front of us we live it and we learn it, one step at a time we find the reasons why this happen, we become stronger by facing the truth not running away. We have believes and doubts in us that we can ever make it, we dress up everyday to walk on that stage, given 24 hours to show the world what we've got. In a way it shows importance and gives existence, a reason for living we look for it, everyday we keep searching deep down inside. I realize that we search for a reason because when I did so call therapy these people kept saying I want to die and told me many ways they could/would die, I asked why and they said it hurt so much(our emptiness, a hole that just swallows it all, we let it controls us and looks towards the path of darkness to fade away) it wasn't that they want to die but they want a reason to live, someone to live for, someone to share that emptiness that won't be something that could swallow them up rather the emptiness from letting go.
*edit*
I'm confused about the phrase "I'm not doing it for others, I'm doing it for myself" I thought about this in two ways. In the beginning I just wrote thinking too much about it but I think I was thinking about it the wrong way. Maybe it's just as it says, something simple but i didn't understand why people would tell the truth or is it that I'm confused again. Even though people don't think about it at that moment later on they so, humans do the things that do because they believe they will benefit from it, no matter what we do we believe there is a benefit in the things we do so we are doing for ourselves and no other people. Is that the reason that many people don't mind helping strangers? Why is it that we have get paid when we doing something rather then doing it for free? We look towards those that we can benefit from, we want something back, that's right nothing in this world is ever free, there is a price tag on everything. You don't have to pay for it with money, how about your life?

HW 30 - Psychological and Philosophical Theorizing of Cool

How does this emptiness feel?
Emptiness doesn't exist physically, it's a feeling that's is in our mind, we feel this way when there's nothing. It's like a black hole, parasite that feeds off of our negative feelings, a giant hole in us that we feel there is a need to fill it up because we are scared of what might come out of that hole, it might swallow our soul up and replace us. That emptiness is a dark space where we try so hard too look for the light, a maze that acts from your feelings. When emptiness takes over it locks up our heart, we begin to lose ourselves in that dark path, wandering endlessly looking for the key even though we, ourselves had the key all along.

What are the sources of this sense of meaninglessness but also of the need for a sense of meaning?
Emptiness means there's nothing there, something is missing, but what is? Humans have always wanted that hole to be filled, it's a way to satisfy their need in being human. With emptiness we feel closer to the truth and to death, by filling this hole up we feel like there is a meaning for us to live on. If we left the hole in us, we begin to give up on life and move toward death. In fairy tales we see that people fill this darkness to make themselves feel better and it works in real life as well because we transform our whole life into that same fairy tale. Human wanting to fill that hole become too predictable, what they do, things they like, none of it is a surprise anymore.

How does cool relate to our attempt to live in relation to this emptiness?
Some people think that being in a relationship with another they would stand out more, people would talk about you and think it;s cool how this person did the impossible of something like that. The roles we throw other in to make ourselves stand out, do you ever regret it? Wanting the fairy tale to come to life, was it really worth all of your time, thinking you've finally found the right person for you. Getting all of that attention, we get used to it even if we make a fool out ourselves. It's a repeating cycle as long as we can leave that darkness. To fill up that hole in us, people can and will do almost anything, just like the stories that never end. How will it take to satisfy you? How make will it take to fill that emptiness? What are you willing to give up knowing the truth? Is being cool really worth all of this?

I once agreed with the referring to humans as in "distinguishes mortals" because people were just giving up too much to want to be cool. Making other suffer wasn't a big sacrifice to them, they weren't giving up anything. I hate myself for taking all of this in, I just wanted to give up so badly but kept fighting because I don't want to be force back into the place with no one. Being born is freedom, dream is a cage to look into the future, the past is us falling into a shadow. My belief tells me not to dream of the future, not to dwell in the past, the present is where we should be but I can't do either. The more I hope to forget the more I lose the things I want to remember. That feeling of emptiness just keeps swallowing it away till you have nothing left but a shadow to replace you. I stopped looking for my light, "when we look for the things we want, we will never get them" I guessing this means stop looking just wait for time to give it to you. Even if the black hole is about to swallow you in, just accept that darkness. After Buddhism was shown to me, I let go of all that rejection and accept what was given, we don't need more than we have, philosophy and therapy became my interest. Emptiness can be a good thing like enlightenment, feeling empty to calm the mind while emptiness can also be hollow, a hole you create inside of yourself by having doubts.

No matter what we do, what we say, we cage ourselves in this endless history, repeating over and over again to tell the same tale told long ago. If we ask for something new, we create a new road that eventually won't be so new anymore, just like cool doing something over and over again will eventually bore us... so we eventually go look for something more new.

Life is a tale by an idiot, maybe that's why there won't be anything new. I imagine humans to start the same way as computers do. When we buy them we give them life by turning on the power. It started out with 1-3Gb something like that while humans start out with organs and brain. Every time we use it, it will remember something while for humans when our parents interact with us we receive information. But ways we continue to learn and care for those things, if we leave them alone for too long they grow lonely, unhappy something in them grow like a deep darkness. Computer might get out of date and stop working while humans may shut themselves in their own world.

Looking at zen, "I possess the true Dharma eye, the marvelous mind of Nirvana, the true form of the formless, the subtle dharma gate that does not rest on words or letters but is a special transmission outside of the scriptures. This I entrust to Mahākāśyapa" how do we know if we really have this? Meditation to attain enlightenment, but how can we be sure that we have really attain it, we're human how is it that we know it's this feeling and not another create by our illusion" I don't really understand this but I do believe that everything is create by our own illusion. Feelings are a part of that like when we feel that we can no longer move on, we build a wall between us and other people create doubt inside of us. Any feelings that we create shutting ourselves into our own world is negative and creates the illusion of emptiness. I think illusions are created so that we can run away from the truth.

I was reading Fullmetal Alchemist and I really like their philosophy on the relationship between humans and the gods. Those who have it don't want it, those who want it don't have it. It also shows that the truth is disgusting, the thing that you want most will always be taking from you, all humans are made up of the 7 sins and continue to sin forever and ever no matter which life we are living. It will always be the same, our desires as long as we have that we want to live on or at least die placing your dreams onto someone else.

Hw 29 - Merchants of Cool

Having your own sense of style makes a person stand out more, with people asking what you like or why you are wearing the things you are wearing, people wouldn't just say it's because I was force to wear rather they try to make it their own. When people come directly up to you asking what type of fashion do you think is most popular it takes a moment before a person can open up to you and tell you what they think. We don't want to make a fool of ourselves and say something that doesn't impress a crowd.

There are a lot of people walking around the streets with clothes that have a really big logo and the ways they wear their clothes, people that stick in groups is like a stage for others to see what's on display and what's so popular, it doesn't even take a word to find out these things, interview other kids that feel that they have become like a kid and know what they think but they don't fully understand what people like since we are all different. What those people like are only a certain percentage of us teenagers.

Advertising shouldn't be banned because it's like a guidance, even though it makes us seem like we don't have a choice it's better than feeling like you don't have a chioce at all. In our society the higher ups makes it seem like we have a choice by letting the people give their opinion but none of the opinion really matter it's just an act they put on so that feel like we have equal power.

Is it evil? People have always been using other people to make money, most of us may or may not be use to this already. This is one of the few things you have to expect in life. We hate the truth at first but as time moves on we realize there's nothing we can ever do. People walk a path endlessly hurting others around them, it's the truth and by avoiding it we hurt more people, we can't do anything about it. The world is just program that way.

Everyone Else in this City is Wanting to be Someone Else Other Than Themselves

Get this widget Track details eSnips Social DNA

Doing this cool unit, it reminds me of this song "Everyone Else in this City is Wanting to be Someone Else Other Than Themselves." Wanting to be someone other than yourself is a bad thing, we can see a change in our life, learn from our mistakes. I'll keep pushing myself to protect those I care about. Step by step I'll walk this road with courage facing what's ahead of me. I'll keep trying, getting back on my feet till it's okay. Day by day we change looking forward for our tomorrow. In our world, people want to be someone else other than themselves, is it that they want to be someone that is more cooler than themselves? Why would we want to be someone else when we, ourselves can be more unique than others. Each and every person is unique/special in our own way. It's wrong of me to judge someone in anyway since we don't know much just by looking at other people, they may have a hidden talent. Why is it that humans can reject others so quickly without wanting to know what makes this person unique? Why can't we accept other without thinking about whether they are cool or not, whether they fit in or not? If we come to accept this person, we can find many things about them that we would have never knew if we rejected them at that moment. If we accept them for their coolness, after find the truth about them, you just might reject them with her knowing this already adn you regretting your decision thinking about it's not about cool or not it's the things you shared, the time you've spent, etc. Why are we letting coolness get in the way of how we live our life?

Fairy Tale

I'm hoping this post can be a replacing for homework post # 19 since I was absent that day, my post # 18 was written incorrectly so I took the time to rewrite it. I remember doing homework # 19 but it's gone now, I'm not sure how to redo it either so I hope this will be as good as that.

It not that people can't find anything new, we tend to place ourselves in our own little world want someone else to do all the work for us. We continue to revolve a certain spot and continue to let ourselves walk around in circles. This is how we lice in a never ending fairy tale, we say we want something new but in reality we don't since we're never looking for it. When people have a need to be cool, they create more flaws in themselves, why bother creating something you're not when the real you is already unique. People that want to be cool seem to be the most predictable types. Times does effect those who want to be cool since they are looking for the newest things so that they can always stand out and stuff. In school we are here to learn but when people say learn they think of sitting there and waiting for a set of instructions or someone to place everything in front of  us and stick it into our brain. In this class people that they are bored of this unit and get the same answers everything but did we ever take the time to think deeply. We leave ourselves in this fairy tale, never ending, waiting for something new to happen because you think something will always be there but that's not sure. If we don't move our own hands and legs nothing is going to happen, we have to move on our own, we can't keep relying on others to push us to keep moving forward. This life is a gift our parents gave us to value, we don't need to be cool in order to live it, just be yourself.

When Mr. Manley taught our class the aim was why do people even care about being cool? In the song there was a part mentioning that a part of her never cared about being cool and the next part is her hating herself for it. The part that repeats by deep thinker is that there will be at least one person is this world that thinks you're cool. Even if it's not our goal or not event think about it seems to come back to us, another thing that was interesting was that "being uncool is cool, being cool is uncool" people are cool is there own ways trying to make themselves cool makes people look silly/dumb. I enjoy this lesson and Mr. Manley seems to be very positive, everything seems to be cool to him. It made me think about what people do to try to be something they're not while others just let it come.

Today's class with Matt was interesting, I agree that being cool is self motivation but in a way failing might bring a person more down than they were in the beginning. Coolness is a way for people to feel good about themselves, to have value in yourself and others, this is what we learned today. I agree that it's human need to feel valued and good about yourself, we always try to meet these needs by doing good deeds and show yourself as a walking logo. I heard this same lesson from my parents the part where doing good deeds gives a healthier life for people. It's interesting how life just works that way. Is most of our life effected by our emotional needs rather than our physical ones? The way I see cool it doesn't make a difference in how vulnerable humans become to stuff when it's a want and not a need.

If life were to spin in an endless fairy tale, it would get boring, there's nothing new, don't you ever get bored of this? Watching other people's lives and finding a familiar ending hoping something new isn't always the best thing, we may or may not like it though.

If the game isn't working for you I'll go over the instructions so that it's easier to understand I hope. =o='''

Step 1: Pick a two digit number(example: 18)
Step 2: Take the first digit and second digit and add them together(1 + 8 =9)
Step 3: Find the difference from the original number (18 – 9 = 9)
Step 4: Find the symbol and click the magic crystal.
If it didn't work, that means you didn't follow the steps correctly usually or didn’t' even read the instructions. I worked just fine for me, it's fun at first but time takes over for most people and it gets boring so we move on and find something more interesting.

http://www.pathcom.com/~sigmuse/Enhanced/articles/cool.htm
“What does it mean “to be Cool”” by Colin Oldman, this article shows that people over the years have many ways of defining cool. Coolness changes over time, coolness is like another character we create to leave our shell, a person that can make them feel a certain way. Cool gives people an identity that’s different from others; each person is unique in their own way.
Every person is cool in his or her own way even if we don’t want to be cool; at least one person in this world thinks your cool. In a society where people think you don’t fit in, you’ll do your best to fit in somewhere as long as you have your place there. Even though we tried not to show it everyone longs for attention. “We have to remember what our values are, and what is most important to us. Being cool is what we make of ourselves, not what others create for us. It is when we learn to be hurtful that we become hurtful to a targeted group. We think that we are being cool when we do this, but is not cool, it's racist, a form of hate and crime.” Many people tend to forget who they are trying their best to fit into a cool society and losing who we are can lead us to do some cool things that many other may not think it’s cool since it has become too dangerous.

"How to Be Cool at School" by edited many authors, this site shows steps on how to become cool at school. Giving the readers steps, tips and warning. On the same site there are ads. There are different ways of becoming cool like avoiding bullying, having own sense of style, becoming independent, respecting others, opened minded and so on.
This guide gives readers a sense of confidence in who they are. It gives different possibilities on who you can be. Different choices on their style of cool, we might not always like the outcome of who we’ve become and realize just being ourselves is the best. But can we really be ourselves?

http://bestuff.com/stuff/living-a-fairytale
Wanting to change things a bit, Otaku by edited authors and “Living A Fairy Tale” by Strawberry Daiquiri, edited by Woei. An otaku is basically a Japanese term used to refer to people with obsessive interests, particularly anime, manga, and video games. Many people turn their life around so that it fits into this story. People think it’s cool and fun that we are living in this fairy tale but I think it’s rather dangerous. People know that the world is a living fairy tale and yet they like the way it is. Is this kind of world cool? Everyone tires to fit their whole life into this fairy tale knowing that people have to die for it to happen and yet they don’t mind. We destroy the fairy tales of other to make ours come true, is that cool? Cosplay, dressing up like their favorite character in a story, makes people feel a certain way like they can be someone better than themselves.
There are so many stories about fairy tales coming to life, people think it's just a play but it isn't. When we compare our life to the stories, we already know how life is going to end by now. We expected the happy ending but we don't want to realize this since we learned that life never goes as we plan them. too

HW 27 - Informal Research - Interviews and Surveys

Even though we don't want to be cool, not wanting to be cool is cool to others. We see each other differently, our perspective. They will always be at least one person that thinks other is cool, it's like going back to what we said in the digital unit. I'm going to us e the example from class, if I go into a store and see a pair of shoe and I say that's so not cool but the next day I see someone else with them and I rethink about what I said yesterday even thought it doesn't look cool on me doesn't mean it won't look cool on other people(Andrew & Andy).

From the interviews most of the answer were reactions unless they didn't really understand what we were asking the first time. I felt like most people say sorry we don't have time, we're late for class which reminded me that people that come late to class gets a lot of attention, most people have that reaction to sound and door is a common one in school when they come in we look toward the direction of the door and ignored the lesson. It's a fancy entrance to class and even if you come in the ask for anything people would just look in your direction the unwanted/wanted attention is all yours.

Most people we ask say no I don't think I'm cool but is that their honest answer, they could just be putting up a front. I agree that everyone can be cool and that being cool and popular are different things. Cool depends on how we define it, how we see it and want to see it. Cool is something that's idolize in our society, no one would want to be uncool unless they think being uncool is cool one of the people we interviewed said. Being cool is a interesting and positive thing.

If everyone were to wear the something as everyone else long time ago, we would look plain and all the same, this in another example from class. Why do soldier wear the same thing during war? It's so that even when they die it's just another person that died in order to protect their country rather then a specific person who fought. Coolness gives each and every person an identity that's different from others no two are the same. This topic probably originated from someone who wanted something different, another exmaple from class. If everyone were living in this endless fairy tale, who will break free of it. That one person will always be making hte change in everything. All it takes is one person that wants to be different and the idea just spreads until they all want to break free of that cage.

Thank you for reading!

Name some people you think are cool and what about them makes them cool?
Mandy - she say stuff that I am very into it.

Glory
What do you think cool means?
Something that stands out…
What characteristics makes a person cool?
uniqueness?...someone who does crazy things that other people won't do.
Do think people would rather be their true self or a person that is cool? Why?
Well I think people would want to be someone who's cool just so that they'll fit in. They'll think it's a way to be liked by everyone else. But personally, I think people would rather be themselves because it takes less effort to be something you are rather than "changing your identity" to being someone who's cool, which not might be actually "you"
How does a person show that they are conforming?
uhh... a person shows that they are conforming when they're somewhere they should be or like they're doing things they USUALLY wouldn't do…like.. you know those people who suddenly change the group of people they hang out with… just to be liked by a greater group of people
If you could be one person in this world who would it be? Why?
umm.. for last question:
I would want to be myself? :P

(She's not gonna give me a picture, so I ask her to pick one.)
Merun
What do you think cool means?
Cool is something out of the ordinary, people have a deeper meaning
What characteristics makes a person cool?
Multi-personality, unique, one of a kind, acceptance
Why is it that people throw away their self to be for a cooler person?
To get attention, it's a need without it we feel empty.
How would you know if someone is conforming?
I guess it's when they come in the next day acting all different and realize how much they lost throwing their self away.
Who is someone that you think is cool, would you want to be them? What makes them cool? Why?
Myst is cool but I wouldn't want to be her, it's like the one of a kind thing, you only get one chance to be with her if you don't know her that is. Though she's quiet if you come to accept her you just can hate her anymore. People always judge others, it's a stupid thing to do, sometimes you just have to do what you have to in order to live the life you want. People wouldn't like Myst because of the things she says but that's because we don't take the time to understand her. Just taking to people you learn how unique they are, you can't find anyone else the world like this person that's what I think cool is.

In your story what makes a person cool is someone that stands up for other people. She's already the president for the archery club which puts her at the top so what would happen if someone at the lower class were to stir up courage in themselves and protect the kid, how would that have ended?

I felt like this stories is too common but common is what makes it cool to most people since if we were to do something new you would mostly likely say it's not cool unless it's inspiration of something new. If something ever new happens in a fairy tale people would dislike it since it's different, disrupted the flow of the story.

Yu Xi
Cool in this stories is like someone who can inspire you to keep moving forward. Guys have their way of cool just like the mangas there's the relax vs hot head, understanding vs saying whatever is on their mind. There's so many combination authors how use and yet they all come to one ending, a fairy tale.

We live in an endless fairy tale, when we think we've grown up we didn't because that fairy tale still exist in us. Inspiration is how I would define cool as well, it's something to admire, we inspire others to keep moving on without noticing. The fairy continues to revolve around us, what if one breaks free from this cage?

Kate
Your story is about a girl who's not liking the attention she's giving since it's the wrong reason. When she stood up for that other girl something inside of her change, she doesn't have to buy expensive things to make her look cool, sometimes being cool is being yourself, the person you want to be deep down.

The coolest person is you, yourself not having to want to be like someone else. We do what we like to make it work for us. After reading the first two stories it felt like the ending of this stories is ruined for me since every fairy tale has a predictable ending. It's not that people are physic like we think they are I think it's because they are closer to the truth. They have already realized this and understand this. Who will break free of this cage is also a fairy tale, hen what isn't a fairy tale?

Maggie
This story get right to the point, she stand out in class and doesn't give others what they want when they ask for attention, sort of like a cold shoulder. She doesn't need popularity to be cool, she's like the lonewolf kind. Your story was very descriptive it's like watching it while I read(imagine you as that girl). =p

This story stands out from the others since she's just doing what she likes, it doesn't seem to bother her that other people are looking at her or talking about her, she just ignores them. We tend to see this kind of school in the beginning of the school year and then later they are bound to open up to us.

Carrie
Your character of cool seem to be very relaxed and wanting to stay cool it looks like she has to sacfrice her time since you mention about the busy night. When the teacher said cool as in you didn't do your homework but you can do this or cool to how much she understood the question/answer. She stand out in class and seems to be popular.

Most people try to be cool and find it that they don't know who they are anymore, while others are seem as cool and don't really have a choice. If a fairy tale continues to live even after we are reborn why can't each fairy be diderent from the last, most people don't get bored of the same story over and over again but I do sometimes. How can we escape the fairy tale if escaping it is making a new one?

Thank you for reading!

Hw 24 - Short Story 1

I remember waiting in line for after school, it was freezing watching people jump up and down to warm up and others causing friction in their hands. This guy came and cut in line with his friend giving him a spot, I never saw him in the school before but I knew that we did go to the same school the next day. My friends didn't like him since he was different and skipped the line but they did the same, I just didn't say anything against them(I wish I did though, asian should stand up for each other) but he just didn't care what they said and ignored it. Inside the cafeteria we would usually sit in the corner but this time we saw him sitting one table away from us. I know that's where they usually sit but like usual he didn't mind what they were saying. I've wanted to be like that, then I wouldn't have to be with these girls that play cool and not get good grades. The format of the school was easy to remember most of my classmates create this line behind me which gets annoying so i run through every staircase till I lose them and get to class right on time, it was fun since it's their punishment for being so mean and yet ask for help. I would help it's just I know they will continue this war if I did help them. They hated my kind and I had no idea why but this is my way of fighting back. I'm a delinquent behind the teacher when I have to be(but that side of me has been casted away and now people are telling me they see my twin, very weird). When those same people go to pick on him, he has this gang that follow him and they show their pride that we shouldn't be afraid of them.

We're all human, he and I were fighting for the same thing but I didn't think it's fair that he got in trouble and I didn't. I took my anger out on them when we had a game in math class, it was a game of 24 with poker cards, this did make it worst for me though. When a team gets the answer everyone in the group has to raise their hand, I was too angry to care about a stupid game so when my table got answer everyone but me raise their hand and they kept yelling at me, all the fear inside was gone by the rage that covered it. The teacher moved on after 5 minutes of yelling of students yelling at me, I was thinking why should I care when it's just a game not your life. They gave their answer and after awhile I raise my hand to prove them wrong, they started to say weird things like she didn't even know what our answer was how could she know it's wrong.

When I entered this school I was hoping for something more different then the life given to me in the school before, I never knew about transferring. I didn't understand why asian would fight asian even though we are the same kind, I just think it's plain stupid. Every morning I would watch that guy fight back with confidence that we should have pride in who we are. Thinking about those words just made me feel better everyday, until one day the dean came down to get him and after that he was never seen again, we would check the area he would go to. Everyone knew those boys were the real problem not him. I hated the dean for taking away someone that helped defend the right people.

More trouble came I remember being at a park with my sister telling her how I wanted that dream not to be hers anymore because it was something I wanted I didn't want her to get hurt anymore. After he left, I find light and left the group of girl thinking what's wrong with me, more people started picking on the people I was with, my real friend that have always been there I was just blind by all that anger. Realizing this wasn't good enough I still needed a solution but then I saw four of the girls in my school. I was wishing this would just go away I'm tired of this I want my normal life back where there was only a cage that negative emotions could never touch. Those girls got closer and wouldn't leave us alone. When people pick on those I care about most I forget who I am and inside of me filled with emotional strength that continues to fight( in the wrong way T3T) it wasn't wrong of me that's what I'll always believe, I threw the swings at that girl she dodge but I got her by the neck I told her to stop or else I would kill her and she tried to grab my neck. I remember how scared my sister was when she saw the person standing before her and said that I wasn't me. When I woke up from the rage I told them to shut up and left leaving fear. That park always felt safe whenever I look up it felt like someone was protecting us because I don't think that was me.

I just wished that he would come back because it's unfair to have a girl fighting all by herself against a class of holding volleyballs ready to hit me. I just wished it didn't have to be like that. I'm tired of remembering these things, I don't want to go back anymore. Always hoping for that light I threw away a side of protection now I can't save her anymore.

Sorry if this is a sad story but thank you for reading(don't read it the wrong way I don't want to write this again T.T)

What I think about "Cool"

We all have our own ways of defining the word cool, to me cool is like my own style or the style I just like. A cool person is define as somewhat cold, usually pleasantly so or someone that stays calm or not showing emotions, especially nervousness or fear. But it doesn't always have to define in these ways that's just the dictionary definition, in a way cool is also being free like doing things without having people telling do and doing things because you like it not because others tell you too.

I've been told many times by others that I'm not cool and since I don't conform with other people and how they dress. But I don't really want to dress so that I can fit in because that wouldn't be me, it's better not to categorize people.

I remember how people got pick on in middle school if they weren't cool or not the right type of people. I thought it was really ridiculous, it's not fair that we can't live a normal life and learn like a normal student just because we're different. I was once very delinquent because I wanted to protect those I care about and what I believe, I don't want to give up no matter what I had to do in exchange I was willing as long as they're safe that's all I cared most about. I can't help but love and hate school at the same time. I love helping and learning but I hate those kids that never think about how any of this can cause a huge scar inside us. If only those kids could see the truth. I really dislike how I was left behind and used since I didn't fit in the category as cool. I didn't care I did cause a lot of trouble for them but good thing not for the teacher I still have to learn =P

Though this experience did hurt and left many things behind that I can't get rid of, I'm glad that they're safe. I never wanted this to effect my siblings and friends but it made me realize how weak I was and how I never fight back even if someone were to kill me. I look back at these memories and think look how stupid I was, look at all those uncool things I did and laugh it off.

I just get so tired of it all, I wish it would just end but I know it never fill but I don't want to keep fighting. I want people to live normally without thinking about what makes us better than others. I don't really care if it's cool or not. It's just me, my style doesn't matter if others do the same, I'm just glad you like it.

HW 22 - Final Draft & Writing Tips

I'm not sure what else to add so I'm just going to leave it as it is for now though O-o''

Technology has given us a step further in the future, without it where would we be behind with everyone else trying their best to advance. People feel that there's so much to do yet not enough hours in a day to finish it all and we can't do it the next day. Having so much to do we can't always give attention to kids so technology is a distraction to keep them clam rather than causing more trouble for the parents. Not all parents know English or can teach us how to do our homework like a teacher teaches class, technology helps us with this as well. They have an online teacher/ librarian that can answer most of your questions without fee required. Technology changes our lives, even if there are only 24 hours in a day now we can finish most of the things we need to do while kids are receiving more help than we can give them. Parents won't always be there for us it's a sad truth but we need to learn to move on with our lives and learn to face them, technology prepares us for this.

Technology is big bulletin board with all these advertisement on it. With it we find something that we feel that only we can do or we find a path that we want to walk. It gives us an interest in what we want to do when we grow up. Giving us a little dream to hold on to and something to believe in and a purpose in life. Even though it's not real it gives us something to do before having to face the truth and learning to understand the world outside of our homes. When you go on the internet most of the time you see all of these ads or they pop up so that you can't miss. It's like an idea that just pops up in your mind out of nowhere and you say you want to be a super hero, doctor, police, etc. It's like the making sure we have a reason to live so that we can keep moving forward even at the times we feel like we can't move forward we depend technology to give us the strength to keep moving. Our parents are probably busying working so that we can live in a place and we can't always ask them for help because we're bothering them since they are doing something more important for the family. We can't always talk to our friends about stuff, so we would go online talk to people to make it all better. Technology isn't always bad it helps us when we need someone to talk to most and we can't always get attention from our parents, we can't always have someone to inspire us in what we want to do when we grow up.

Gaming helps improve our skills. Gaming is a way to test our minds, it's like living in the story. We live two different lives one which is reality, the digital world forces us to face things we wouldn't be able to experience in real life. It gives us to think of our feet and that moment what would we do, it's like practicing for the world out there. So when we see these things again we won't be a afraid because we've face this before. Many of us kids hate having to go through all the combinations of how to open locks or cheats on a game so we search it up. this helps improve our skills in researching because in school when we need to right a paper we can look things it helps us a lot if we miss class since we got sick we could look up how to do the homework. It's better than bother your friends that might be asleep. Video games, he points out, cannot be directly compared to books in terms of the types of intelligence they encourage. Video games, according to Johnson, are valuable because they force players to make choices, solve problems, keep track of varied situations and in some cases cooperate with others. We can't do everything by ourselves we need help to learn new things and find new ways of doing things to make it easier on ourselves it's not like we would spend a week on one problem we have to move on with it and come back to it later when we understand a bit more. Not only is gaming use to help improve researching skills, it can also help you practice what you want to do when you grow you, like doctors they probably have to be good with talking with people and be very patient. Technology has only help us it does give an experience on how to stand up to bullies making us want to get stronger.

Do your parents yell at you for talking on the phone for too long? I don't talk on the phone much but I see this one television when I turn on it. Well now we have aim, aol, tweeter, facebook, etc. we can talk through the internet making it easier. We don't have to worry so much about our phone bills and aside from that we can meet new people so study more about people from other countries and how they live it. We've never been limit to how many people we can meet and how many things we can learn the more friend the better. The world has always been big but we've create a smaller world using the net to help us make it easier to face life, we're not alone anymore. Technology has made it easier for us to talk to our friend, love ones, stranger, etc. interacting isn't always a bad thing we just have to make sure we don't let too much information out. Technology gives us many choice on how to live our lives as we want also give us/ preparing us for what we need to walk out into the real world.

Many people say that games are bad, internet is bad for us, we spend too much time on these things. We're missing out on the things that outside world has to give us, but would you rather have you child be at home or outside where you have no idea what they could be doing, no idea what they are learning, who they are with. I know I would get worried if My sister doesn't come home and he wrong time, if my brother doesn't come home I would go look for them but if technology was there I don't have to worry as much. Even if they can't get away from the computer screen I can get them to learn stuff, it’s the same as dealing with little kids giving them something and they'll do what you want them too. Technology and us are like puppets someone is always at the top getting us to do something just like in feed where to hacker hacked them they were being used for something that will benefit others. In wall-e it shows how people were getting fat by sitting there all day and talking to a screen they were safe by couldn't protect themselves if anything were to happen.

Even though we say and think technology is bad we still use it. We use it since it make life a lot easier. It's the same as not having to building a fire to cook our food rather just turning the stove on to cook our food. We don't have to ring the town bell to tell people there's going to be a meeting you can just call people with the phone and let them know. It's help the people of the older time a lot even though they have to adapt to it. I wonder what did people back then do to make their day pass by faster because now we have technology even though we know it's bad for our eyes to stare at the screen all day. We can't deny that it's something that we need even at my internship place we depend on computers so much to organize all of our work and make it easier so that we don't have to file everything.

Technology just makes everything easier for us without we don't really know how to do things anymore since all of the old stuff is in the pass. We depend on it too much to let go of it, there was a time where we had a black out in the city I wonder how people had to live during the three days. Technology can fail us just like humans not is made for perfection everything has a flaw so even if I do argue that technology is good others may say that it's bad. Others may say that technology has only made people lazier I do agree with that but I believe it has helped us more than harming us. Many people who close themselves from the outside world tend to find others way to interact with people. Technology prepares us to face real life experience later on just as school does but school does give enough of what we need to learn. This just what I like since we all live different lives we experience things differently as well as depending on it technology in different ways.
Thank you for reading and sorry for all the trouble

Hw 21 - Art Project 1

Art are piece of art creating a shadow behind the true meaning of each word. For this project I want these words to show a piece of art work that you won't really find in a picture.

the "truth"

put bluntly, we all know the truth
we may not know all of it but most of us can see the ending

some of do not accept it; thus, it is hidden
some of us accept it; eternal peace is achieved
some of us do not seem to accept it--
some of us do but with plenty complaints.

if you seek the truth, you are merely wasting your time;
look around and you will realize it's been all around--
all along.

the "truth" is never far, it is always near
the "truth" is sometimes ugly, sometimes beautiful
the "truth"-- all together, it is difficult to hide and yet, hard to find.

do you want to believe in the "truth" in which you learn?
when you realize the truth does not favor your side,
what will you come to think of it?
will you... blame truth?
will you... decide to find a way to use the truth to aid you?

true "happiness"
can be obtained once we realize and accept
THE TRUTH.
put bluntly, we know all the answers
we may not know it but we eventually come to hate the "truth."

reflection

"reflection"
pieces of literature reflect our souls, mind, spirit.
the personality that is not shown to anyone...
is shown through thoughts and arts.
you cannot hide it,
your destiny can be changed
but your reflection cannot.
reflection awaits us at the end of fate.
destinies combine to create a greater force, fate.
as do puzzles form to depict a picture, a reflection that will not change.
reflection involves fate, fate involves reflection.
reflection can be a truth thrown under bed sheets.
once one flies over to reveal it, conflict occurs.
conflicts are easily solved more if they are visible.
reflections do not turn invisible.
the reflection is your deepest secret.
your "secret".
treasured.
"my, your, our..."

I read through these and thought that they show a deeper imagine that a normal picture would, her poems are shaped oddly it makes me wonder why it was formatted that way.(they way I'm posting it won't be shape the same way so maybe you have to go on her blog to me) Was it just the feeling she had while writing the poem? I like all of the poems but these two stood out for digitalization to me there was a great connection.

This piece of art to me is still a mirror, art to me has always been a mirror reflecting the inner truth that we can't escape. I never thought of art as a hammer since even though a hammer may or may not shape things it's like a weapon to test what this person would do with it and how the person would use it. Though we say that we can hide our feelings but how long can we hold back till that shadow in us appear, no one is perfect there's always some kind of flaw that makes us human. Our reflection, the other you knows how we feel because what can you hide from yourself, nothing. How much longer do we want to keep ourselves safe from the truth eventually you'll have to face it.

Myst puts a lot of feelings into her writing, it shows that she's been through a lot. If a person that live a happy life read it, I'm guessing they wouldn't have the same reaction as me, when I read it, it made me feel really sad and a hate towards humans. People tends to put themselves before others. That's why the digital world is our path to escaping this, a truth that people avoid seeing. In each world there will always be people of the ying and yang so that there's never peace or perfection. Perfection is only a dream that we try to touch but can never reach it. That's why we should never put 100% of what we have in the things we do sometimes because we know it hurts so we try to escape that same pain by giving less each time.

This isn't my art but I can connect our experiences, I did talk to myst and we have a lot of similar experiences. Betrayal is very painful, watching others walk away and leaving you behind isn't something we like. Art is a a way to expressing ones self not everyone can understand it but art does have feelings. There are many things that words just can't say for us, so we present it in an artistic way.

HW 18 - Big Paper 1 Rough Draft

Game start!

I've always been with my technology because having technology betraying you isn't as much pain as your best friend doing the same. I never had much interest in changing who I was I just followed everything at my own pace so I never talked to anyone else since I was the odd one out. Technology helped me escape all of this without it I wouldn't have been able to understand why a person would act the way they do. I used technology as an open test experiment watching carefully why people act the way they do. They never asked so I don't say a thing. Questions like why can't you trust us? and why aren't you telling us anything? Why should I trust? Why should I tell you anything when I know the answers your going to give me? Spending time with technology many of the things people do become so predictable, it gets boring. I'm like a little kid playing a game over and over again looking for something new that I haven't found yet.

Many of us kids hate having to go through all the combinations of how to open locks or cheats on a game so we search it up. this helps improve our skills in reasearching because in school when we need to right a paper we can look things it helps us a lot if we miss class since we got sick we could look up how to do the homework. It's better than bother your friends that might be asleep.

Do your parents yell at you for talking on the phone for too long? I don't talk on the phone much but I see this one television when I turn on it. Well now we have aim, aol, tweeter, facebook, etc. we can talk through the internet making it easier. We don't have to worry so much about our phone bills and aside from that we ccan meet new people so study more about people from other countries and how they live it. We've never been limit to how many people we can meet and how many things we can learn the more friend the better. The world has always been big but we've create a smaller world using the net to help us make it easier to face life, we're not alone anymore.

Hw 17 - Outline Suggestions

you have a great start by backing up your arguments with evidence. You did a job with quoting people from class. I don't know you can improve it though. Technology has always been helpful to us so I can't see it in a bad way. I think you could probably write about what technology did for you and how it effect your life. Has reality fill up that emptiness in us more than technology did. Technology is a copy off us human beings except more advance that's why we become so attach to them. Technology has helped more people than hurt them. It's a big world out there not many people we can trust. I watch people trying to live a life of a fairy tale because they want it that way human have to aspect something new. It's boring when we have to watch the same story over and over again. One day if we lose interest in it's probably because we live a fairy tale ourselves. I don't know how it can be improve, you might have to ask someone else I see things differently.

HW 16 - Big Paper 1 Outline

I'm always behind in understanding what's going on in class so when I come home rather than asking people all the time(I'm just bothering them)I look things up on my own if I can't find an answer I'd rather give up and move on. I don't like it if I were to stay in a place for too long like people they eventually move on from one place to other. People are forever changing moving from one world to other(child to teen to adult). It's sad to watch them move on like that but I'm glad for them sometimes if in a good way if not I'd watch their mistakes till I can see a change. Aside from technology test trying to get people to move from one place to another I can do that in reality too. People sometimes feel stuck and can't move on with their life giving up or lost. I use the stuff I learn about humans to help them move on, if they can't move on I'll stay until they see the light because I don't want that sadness to be lingering around them anymore. That's way I've been doing my whole life a never changing thing I enjoy doing. Technology has help me realized that I loved helping people in that way.

Technology made me realized that I was very different from other people creating an impossible personality. I wished to keep this pure gift in this planet no matter how much it may hurt or how people would hate me. I believe we all started out the same way just that we got inflicted by different things around us. I have no memories of my past and keep on losing memories(I think I got hit in the head too many times =3=) I spend time behind a computer because even if I were to forget so many things it wouldn't hurt as much if I did spend time with my friends and forgot I don't want to see it rain. I know life is painful so I just choose this way to lived it. Even though all of this technology may advance you generation what would we get out of it, little kids starting to go to work? I haven't watch t.v at home but too me it's just a form of entertainment that gives little kids too much information, I don't enjoy hearing about a 9 year old kid knowing why people would smoking, drugs, alcohol, etc. I don't think they are ready for all that information because it's just too much for them to handle and they wouldn't really understand all that nonsense. I mean it takes us many years to understand all of this and giving that much to a little kid might explode their brain out o.o''

I think I went to deep -decides to stop- O.O'''

HW 15 ABCDEF3 Treasure Hunting

Hiii~ Yu Xi

Video games does makes us think on our feet since most of the time we are limited to time/life we have in the game. Unlike in books it gives a set of things to read and how this character would face this problem. Books are second hand experience but games can give you a more real experience since most of the time this world becomes a part of who we are. Even though we begin to tie ourselves with the other world we gain something that would be much harder to have in the real world. We changed after the first time we lose a game finding new ways that we could pass this level and move on to the next and not giving up and wanting to fight on. Television hasn't done much for me since I don't watch it but from other people sometimes it's like becoming one with the characters of the show and we can relate to how they would feel sometimes creating your own fantasy.

Everything bad is good for you is like a weird advertisement telling not kids but the parents that they should allow kids to go on playing but does it really prepare us for the real world. Video games can teach us many things and faster than a teacher does. Experiencing it gives a thought about what we like to do when we grow up. Television shows us all the things people are capable of. If life became only technology would that be better because when we walk out of our homes sometimes we may be one of those kids that get bullied. If school never was here would it be a better life?

I like to learn things at my own pace so watch things and if I'm not ready for them then I just push them aside for later on. Lots of things cause people to get stress and school is one of the many things so if we were kept home with our technology we would be in a way escaping reality. I remember I overheard a 4th grade student talking about things that a 11th grade would be learning I started to wonder how his knowledge was increasing. I found out that many of his friends are older than him and talk about this stuff so he was listening in and understood. Technology just increase the pace of learning since we can just pick one topic we like the most and learn it for the other topics we can spend less time with.

I'm not sure what you should add but I'd like to hear more about how this connects to your life and what would happened if technology does replace school(which I think never will TT.TT) I like the way you went back and quote the book and no mistakes found. Not sure about anything I bad at helping edit stuff.

It's sound like I'm complain a lot and more like this was a reaction to your blog but I don't know what I was thinking about so I hope it helps =.=''

Thank you for reading and sorry for long comments o.o'''

Hiya Jia Min

Watching television is fun but it gives more information than I need sometimes so I watch things like "Detective Conan" which gave me interesting in all this forensic stuff but it also gives me a chance to face all of my fears. From gaming with my brother and sister I've improve some of my researching skill and now I use those skills to help me catch up with all the stuff I'm falling behind in class with.

I think the main point was that when it's placed in front of us we start to realize that we were all escaping the truth. Parents thought all of this was bad for us and yet here we have a guy that think the complete opposite. Maybe people did know that it was making us smarter but even so it doesn't help us.

There's always a pros and cons to everything in this world even this book. If we did stay home all day learning by playing, watching surfer the internet would we get addicted and not want to leave our home. Even though we are learning we still have to see the sky once in awhile for our health. We have to see the daylight an exercise because we can't this out of watching tv, we'll get very fat and even if sitting makes us get use to the numb feeling what if we can't feel our legs anymore it's like we lose our emotions.

I thought your post was very good, not sure what to improve on just a bit of grammar. I thought it would be better if you connected with yourselve because it shows your experience how it effected you and what you could pass on the other people know this. Would you still recommend this is good or bad this for the up coming generation if it does happen.

Your post made me think about how much I missed out on since I didn't really watch much tv, my parents thought it would reveal too much stuff I shouldn't know and aside from that is settings fears in me. I think the same way as them now watching others kids they just take in the information and make fun of it as if everything was a joke. Kids tend to be very ignorant never thinking about how the things they do will effect others around them. Sometimes it better to stand aside and let it happen rather than doing something cause they'll learn something whether it's right or wrong. Mistakes are repititive.

Sorry I'm not sure what I wanted to say but I hope it helps
THank you for reading o.o''

Hw 14 - Second Text

In "Everything Bad Is Good For You" it shows how the stuff that we do everyday with our technology is actually helping us. The author Steven Johnson, tries to convince us that video games, t.v. and the Internet is all good for us. I think he tries to prove that popular culture is not only growing more complex, but that the complexity is making consumers of pop culture more intelligent. The main idea of the book is divided into two main parts; arguing that video games, television, the Internet and movies have grown more complex in recent years, and the second part outlining the relationship between those forms of entertainment and increased intelligence.

Video games, he points out, cannot be directly compared to books in terms of the types of intelligence they encourage. Video games, according to Johnson, are valuable because they force players to make choices, solve problems, keep track of varied situations and in some cases cooperate with others. I've never been very good at reading since I started later than most people and got stuck in a random class that I don't really ever understand. In games I feel like I can be more of myself again rather than someone who wants to protect. Many kids would get angry when they are playing games and you tell them to stop, you can't really get this reaction when taking a book from someone.

Even reality TV, the easiest target around, is more complex compared to it's historical antecedent, the game show. Rather than reading all the time we can find other ways of learning like watching television. Hard to believe but I've never read any of the Harry Potter series nor the Twilight series to me they don't look that interesting and fun to read. I watch kids spending hours reading those books wondering about all the stuff they could have use that time for. It's a waste since for most good stories there's a story so don't bother wasting your precious life reading when you can receive knowledge another way.

The Internet is valuable in three ways according to Johnson: by virtue of being participatory, by forcing users to learn new interfaces and by creating new channels for social interaction. Johnson provides a laundry list of online interactions that bring people together and make them smarter. Even though we are talking to stranger in a way it's alright because you get to learn a lot from them and interact with people you could never meet. When you made your 1st friend did you ever stop to think about how you guys started out as strangers and slowly became close friends. There are many people we can't trust but we have to learn through experience what we should and should not do.

In Feed, everything looked perfect till the hacker came along and in this book it shows that they experience something they wouldn't have if the feed wasn't installed. If Titus was a ordinary kid without the feed and reading everyday to improve his skills of course he would not be able to compete with the feed since all that knowledge from the feed is in their mind when asked something they could just look it up unlike us we have to think about what happened and if we didn't read or understand it we wouldn't be able to answer. In the end Titus felt human because he realized what Violet was trying to say. In both stories if the world were to end we would spend our last minutes pretending it was a normal day or panic because we don't want to accept that this is the end. We use technology to make everything easier on ourselves and use it to escape reality because we don't want to face, it not ready to face it, and don't know how to face it.

WE FIND LOOPHOLES FOR EVERYTHING WE DO!

Hw13 - Feed B

I would want my work of art to be a mirror rather than a hammer because a hammer can shape items in many ways consider the personalities of the person but a mirror reflects a person's inner self which a hammer can not show. I think feed describes humans as a parasite feeding on the information technology can give us. It is capable of advancing the humans to a more advance state. Thinking of feed as a creation of art, it would seem that most people would want it since they would benefit from it. Most people would think that it isn't necessary to go to school anymore.

I don't really get what went on in feed, all I know was that these kids went on a spring vacation to the moon. One of the kids like this girl name Violet and they spent time at the club. All of a sudden a hacker came and the next thing they knew they were in the hospital. Since they were at the hospital both of them spent time together and he learns that her feed was installed later and how different her life was from theirs. Later on in the we found out that Violet's feed is infected due to the late installation and this may harm her. This just shows that even technology has it's flaw, Violet's dad did not want the feed installed since he didn't believe in such things but later on he asked her to make the decision since everyone was getting one. Violet represents the humanity and the people with the feed represent no actual free will in the world. When her dad gave her the choice to get the feed, that was the transition towards the loss of humanity.

I think his audience is mainly young adults because it shows the simple mistakes that we make. We aren't aware of the things we do, rather than thinking about what will happen after, we decide to act first and think later. Maybe it's just human to be that way so that we by pass the rule of perfection. If this was a film I think people would watch it through without thinking about it as an allegory besides this book was very detail if it was acted out I doubt that people could express the feeling to the fullest potential.

Hw 12 - Feed A

Technology is a copy of human, more advanced in some ways but there are things we are capable of doing that they aren't. As human do we really get to choose a path? If we had the feed installed in us, everything is planned out as if nothing will ever go wrong in your life. With the feed, your like a more advanced technology because you consist of feelings that we believe technology don't. Technology has a limit just like we do except we believe there is something beyond limitations. So even if we were only given two paths to walk, humans have the ability to make a new path, one that others haven't walked before.

I'm typing right now, my mind feels very empty, but when I think about it I can feel something in my mind flowing. Technology have it differently they it's like a set of option of which words to pick from and what to say next. They are program to operate a certain way.

In feed, those kids went to the moon and played around like they had the whole world under them. I agree that we're all ignorant, ignoring others when they warn us about the truth/dangers of life. In both world we all know that technology is dangerous and yet we continue to use it. Another things is that each of us have our own identity just like technology each of them is one of a kind, no two are the same.

Both humans and technology are imperfect, we're filled with flaws. Of course we won't really admit it. I feel like the feed provide them with too much information that ordinary people wouldn't have yet. It's as if we're parasites that's feeding on information. I would not be able to withstand all that knowledge, would you be able to?

A feed is like another world we create within ourselves. We open these door when feel that it's alright to let others in and close them when we need to be alone. We create another fairy tale. If we keep lying to ourselves then what will become of the truth? Can we really live in a world where everything is believe to be perfectly planned out? We wouldn't know what to do if things go wrong, life never goes as you plan them too.

I have no idea what else to right about...I think my brain died off somewhere...

Hw 11 - Self Experiment 1

For this experiment I decided using the internet for 1hour straight without stopping. I don't really get the homework, I was confused so did it randomly.

Most of the things that happened are pretty much the same, nothing new. I worked on my hw instead since I didn't know what to do. As usual when someone talks to me I would go check or when I talk to someone else. The rest of the time I just left it opened and check if anything new happened.

It feels like I was in front of my laptop waiting for something more amazing to happen or maybe I was just bored. My time with the internet was pretty much the same, it doesn't change because we are bound to use it for typing up homework or surfing the internet for answers and many more things.

Without technology my day would pass more slowly. That deep emptiness doesn't go away, its like time has stop and nothing is happening inside of me. I start to wonder if it's really me that thinking or is there something else that tells me what to say.

Comparing this experiment to "feed" it makes it seem like technology has taken control of our lives. I wouldn't want a "feed" inplant inside of me because I would think that I don't have my own will anymore. It would be the same as a doll or a puppet following every command given by the master. Technology does fill that emptiness in us.

I don't think many of us could last 24 hours without technology, saying that we could is kind of a lie because we've become so close to them, how could we just let go of it. It's not that we can't survive without it just that we feel a need to use them since it does make everything a lot easier.
*edit* it's not fair the homework assignment was posted one day I after finished it and now I'm too tired to fix it. I'm going to be lazy =.=

Intership is already giving me a robotic life so it's not pain just tiredness.

HW 10 - Informal Research Internet

I spend most of my time thinking about things that happen in this world and why it happens. The answer I ended up with isn't the one I want.

http://www.basilmarket.com/

I spend time here reading thread people post up, I also came here for research since my siblings play this game so I help them look for information. This website helped me learn a little bit about how to merchant, which would probably help me if I was interested in business. When I'm not looking for information I look through the thread and read the problem people face either in the real world or even online. To these people neither lives they have lived or created are perfect. There's always going to be someone out there that is always against you. Life doesn't ever go as you plan it would, I think as long as you're given life the world will find a way to trap you.

http://mangavolume.com/

There are a lot of manga sites but this was the first one recommended to me. I don’t read much manga but I like reading to see how the authors view the world. I love writing stories and telling them to little kids because it’s so fun and we both get to learn something. Stories bring a group of people together that’s what I love about it. Rather than always reading manga off the internet I’d rather write one myself but I have to first learn the structure so I have to investigate and observe the layout on these things.

http://www.youtube.com/

My friends tell me to come here to watch their video and I really admire it. It inspired me to make my own so when I finish learn how the layout work on manga, me and sister might start make them. I really enjoy learning stuff so I tried to look for ways to develop. My sister and I like to work together on writing stories, drawing and learning to use technology. We just learned how to make a video over the summer but never got to post it up on YouTube. I forgot that the font you should be bigger, bad habit of mine for writing small font.

I don’t spend much time I just leave my computer alone till someone asks for me. If no one is on and I have a question like we said in class I would just Google it up.

Thank you for reading~

HW 9 - Video Project GHIJK

Hey Jiamin

Sorry, I took so long to respond to your video and thank you so much for taking your time to comment on my video so that I can improve it. Throughout our lives we are always replacing things with whatever is new. We feel that there's a need to move on and catch up with the world's development.

I don't think freedom really exist it's just that with all the things we have in this world we never really thought about it. Like that story about a man who made wings so that he could fly and get close to god, trying to fly to freedom and in the end he fail to. I don't spend a lot of time with technology unless someone else ask me something I don't know or they want to talk about a big problem. Even though I'm just sitting there and looking at the screen reading, isn't it just the same as reading from a book. They call it exercising the mind. I think that experiencing things first hand is much better because we may be reading a book and say that you understand how it feels like being trap in a void. It's the same as pretending to know something you don't really know.

The reason I didn't show myself in the video was because it wouldn't be me. The world I choose to keep who I was and wanted to stay forever couldn't live in reality, the person that travels to school every day wouldn't fully be the real me. Is it really possible for a person to not lie at all (not counting those people that tells lies and come true >-<) online we can easily lie about our age, name, etc. to make ourselves more of the perfect person. Many people strive for perfection and online we can create the perfect digital version of ourselves. Stranger online tend to ask stuff like "Where do you live? What’s your name? How old are you? ..." not all of us are stalkers so we either ignored the question or lie about things. Like in the movies they show guys/girls bragging about their money that doesn't really exist (it makes them look, sound cool =o=)

Life is eternal, our soul may travel from one body to another but the body cannot live forever, it will begin to rot and the soul moves on. We don't remember anything because our body contain all of our information when the body dies so does the info. The soul is like a computer program, it gets inserted into human so we can operate, if body is injured the soul cannot do much. Spirit ties the soul and body together. That is what I think of life as, the closer to the truth you get to, the more suffering there will be. All of this technology, digitalization is like a distraction from finding the truth, if humans one day did find out how the process of life and death works then just like in FMA they can create a army that is knows no fear, emotionless, undying humans, it would hurt so much to see that. That why we can't choose a path, there is a limit, the freedom we dreamed of never exist but we always pretend it did so we don't have to suffer. We lie to ourselves that everything is possible, we just keep lying to comfort ourselves.

Now I can see why people must keep escaping, tears may run down our faces and not understand why, maybe the soul does remember something even if we were to repeat the same life over and over again, this world can never be our heaven. The world contains a yin-yan that will constantly continue. Technology is our world of escape, I don't think about the things I want to type, sometimes it feels like there's always another me inside of me wanting to do things that I wouldn't normally do. I've always been trying to escape the fact that if there was ever a perfect person in this world they wouldn't be able to live. I can see why now but even though I have come to realize it I won't stand aside and give up.

You and I are alike but not the same; we're humans but not the same type. I'm always lost in a way I feel like you are too but you have everyone around you to care for you, Sometimes I feel like you're not looking at the things in front of you or you’re just avoiding it. If you spend too much time with manga and anime your feeling will become all confused =p We don't want technology effecting the younger kids but have you ever thought about how the adult stepped aside for us? They live during the time it came out but we were born in it. Think about how easy things became for them and how much time they spent to catch up with us so they could help us adapt to it. We don't want the little kids to stop moving forward. The world may rotate to the future but if their minds just stop then they'll be like me, taking apart things to figure out how things work.

Lauren!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to look through my video and commenting so I'll be able to improve on the next one I work on =D

Yes, I feel that we are in a trapped world. I believe it's a way of our protection so we don't have to face the truth (mysteries of the world) Not all of us want new things that we see on TV. some of us feel that what we have is enough to satisfy us while others want more and more. Does a one step less of a process really worth it for you to spend extra money. Do we always have to look after that #1? Why does it matter? Will people look up to you? Will you get more people to be around you? Look at all the money we waste on similar items when we could have use that money to buy presents, go on vacation with family, etc.

When I look up at the sky I wonder why isn't it black when space is. It as if the world never wanted us to be trapped in darkness (except for night time) When we go beyond a certain atmosphere without gears we can't breathe since there isn't any air. It's like we're being cage, we aren't allowed to leave this world. If we wander around in space we may be lost forever this world is our protection. There's a lot about the truth that I believe we shouldn't get to close to like the process of humans and how they die and be reborn. We try not to think too much about these things technology is a distraction from all of this. We lie to ourselves that everything in this world is possible, in the digital world we create lies about who we are sometimes.

Kids use to love stuff animals but after awhile they begin to put these things aside for technology. Is it because they can't talk and yet you can talk to your computer(the person on the other side) When I look at my stuff animals I think why is it that people can let go of their prized possessions they have when they were little yet it's so hard to let go of technology. Both of us don't think much about getting the newest things in the tech world we're happy with what we have. I don't want to ask for more than I already have, I don't want to be those people that have however many different iPods sitting in behind a glass window and not use them at all. If humans can get old so can technology. Think about all the time you've spent with your old stuff, they've probably been there for you longer than what you have now.

Thanx for commenting on my video and thank you so much for reading.
Hope you enjoy~
